How and where are Cuff Studio products made?

Our collection is handmade in Los Angeles by a group of highly trained and expert craftspeople. We support local manufacturing and materials.

I am a designer and would like to know if you offer a discount. Who do I contact?

You can apply here.. Please allow 24-48 hours for application review. You will receive an email when your application has been approved.

Where do you ship?

We currently offer shipping options within the continental US and Canada. International orders are available for ex works / will call pickup to trade members only, at this time.

How can I check the status of my order?

Contact info@cuffstudio.com with any questions about your order during production.

What if an item is backordered?

If an item is backordered, the estimated date of restock will be listed on the product page. These dates are estimates and subject to change. They do not include shipping or processing time. You can place an order for a backordered item and you will be notified when it is available. Or, you can ask to be added to the waitlist.

Will I be updated if the lead time changes?

We do our best to update the website as often as possible. Please note all lead times are approximate and subject to change. Should a change occur that affects your order, you will be notified. Lead times listed include production time only. If multiple items are ordered together, the full order will ship when all items are completed.

What if I change my mind - Can I cancel or return my order?

All sales are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges.

When will my order ship?

In stock Expedited Cuff Core items will ship out within 5-7 weeks from payment and do not include transit time. You will receive an email notification with tracking information when your order ships. Contact us for Trade Exclusive made-to-order lead times.

What if my order arrives damaged?

It's very important to inspect your order upon delivery. If an item arrives damaged, you will need to note this on the driver's paperwork. Please take photos of the damage (both of the item and packaging) and do not discard the original packaging. Email the Cuff Studio team at info@cuffstudio.com within (10) days so we can follow up on your damage claim.

Do you provide swatches?

Yes, we sell samples of our fabric, finishes and ropes. Please be sure to check the product page to ensure the product you are interested in is available in your desired finish.

Where can I see products in person?

We would love to see you! Our Gallery is in Los Angeles and by appointment only. We also have a limited collection in New York City. To schedule a visit, please email sales@cuffstudio.com. Learn more here..

Do you offer a warranty?

A one-year warranty is offered for all pieces - period beginning upon receipt of order. If order fails because of workmanship or failure of materials, Cuff Studio will either repair or replace the item. Cuff Studio is not responsible for damage due to mishandling, improper wattage bulb usage, improper cleaning method solutions, improper installation or assembly.

How do I care for my items?

Can I customize my order?

Our Expedited Cuff Core collection is not customizable. If you are a member of our trade program, or are working with a designer who is a member, our full collection is available, much of which can be customized. Learn more about our trade program here.

How is my order shipped?

Shipping options will vary depending on your location and product. You can review shipping options in your cart before you check out.

Is installation included?

No. We recommend all lighting is installed by a licensed electrician. Installation instructions are included with your shipment, and can also be found on the product page of our website.

Are light bulbs provided?

Yes, light bulbs are included with all fixtures except the Intersect Sconce.

I am not working with a designer but I need help! Do you offer services?

Yes! We have operated as an interior design studio since 2001. Cuff Studio now considers only a limited number of full interior and renovation projects, however we happily offer hourly consultation services as needed. Contact us at design@cuffstudio.com for more information on our interior design capabilities.

Trade FAQs

Do you offer a trade discount?

Yes, once you have been approved for a trade account, your preferred pricing will be shown when you are logged into your account.

How do I apply?

You can apply here. Please allow 24-48 hours for application review. You will receive an email when your application has been approved.

How do I place a trade order?

When you are logged into your trade account, you can place an online order for any items in our Expedited collection. For trade order requests that include items from our full collection or custom order requests, click "request a quote" on each product page and submit when ready. Alternatively, you can email your RFQ to sales@cuffstudio.com.

When does my order go into production?

Once we receive your full payment, your order is entered into the production queue. Delays in fabric selection and/or receipt of fabric may affect order lead time.

Does your trade program offer tax exemption?

Yes. If a current resale certificate is provided for the state where your order is shipping to, tax may be removed. Contact sales@cuffstudio.com for details.

What is your current lead time?

Our Trade Exclusive full catalog is made to order. Production takes 16 - 20 weeks for lighting and furnishings with standard size and finish. Please inquire for custom order lead times. If you are looking for a shorter lead time, we encourage you to consider our Expedited collection. In stock lead times are typically 5-7 weeks, shipping lead times vary.

How can I check the status of my order?

When you are logged into your trade account, you can check the status of any order, view estimated ship dates and order history.

What if I need to expedite my order?

Please notify us when requesting a quote if you have rush requirements. If we can accommodate, a rush fee will be applied to your quote. If you are looking for a shorter lead time, we encourage you to review our Expedited collection; in stock items are generally ready to ship in 5-7 weeks. Expedited shipping options may also be available in certain areas.

Do you offer finish samples?

Yes, we sell samples of our wood finishes, metals, fabrics and leathers, and ropes. Please be sure to check the product page to ensure the product you are interested in is available in your desired finish (view finishes).

Can I provide my own fabric?

Yes, our Trade Exclusive collection is available in COM/COL, at no additional charge. The Expedited Cuff Core collection, which includes specific fabrics and finishes offered at condensed lead times, is not available in COM/COL.

Where should I send my COM and COL?

We strongly encourage customers to send a link to sales@cuffstudio.com of the material being considered so we may assess for suitability before you purchase your material. We will advise if a cutting is necessary. COM/COL requirements are outlined on each product page. Our mailing address for all cuttings, COM/COL/COH orders is:

Can I customize my order?

Cuff Studio offers customizations to Trade on most products in our catalogue. If you are interested in adapting an existing Cuff Studio piece to your specific project needs, please email sales@cuffstudio.com to begin the process. The pricing provided on custom requests is based on specific dimensions, materials and finishes. Custom quote requests take 3 - 5 business days. Lead times on custom pieces vary depending on the scope and scale of design changes. Additionally, customization of finish only on standard designs will incur an upcharge of $10. Custom finishes will be provided for approval.

Do you ship internationally?

International shipments are currently available to Canada only and are shown in U.S. dollars. We are, however, able to make occasional exceptions. For the select Cuff Studio pieces which are eligible, international orders are available for ex works/ will call pick up. We are happy to work with any shipper of Customer's choosing, but please note that no cartoning or crating is included. Customer's shipper is responsible for all packing and crating materials. We strongly suggest that the customer insures shipment for full value, as shipper will assume full liability for the order once it is picked up. Customers are responsible for all import taxes, duties, carrier fees and customs declarations. Cuff Studio furniture and lighting is produced in an FSG certified workroom and meets CA117 requirements.

How long are quotes valid for?

All quotes are valid for 30 days. Prices are subject to change anytime after that.

What forms of payment are accepted?

We accept payment by credit card, check, bank transfer or wire. There are no additional processing fees when paying by credit card. Checks should be made payable to Cuff Studio.

What deposit is required?

Cuff Studio requires payment in full for all orders to commence production.

Do you memo?

Loan arrangements can be made. Two day maximum with signed memo agreement and payment info for hold.

My project is delayed. Can you store my order?

We cannot offer long term storage. We ask that orders are paid for and coordinated with Cuff Studio in a timely manner. Items are subject to a $25.00 per day charge for storage after 30 days upon completion of an order.

What if my order arrives damaged?

Extensive quality control is performed at our workroom and Photography to customer is provided before shipping. If order arrives damaged, we require an image of the damage, both of the item and in its original packaging to be sent to info@cuffstudio.com within 10 calendar days to claim any damages.

Care Instructions

Cuff Studio Furniture and Finishes

Cuff Studio furnishings and finishes should be handled with care; surfaces dusted regularly with only a soft cloth or a dampened cloth with filtered water to clean. Avoid all chemical-based cleaning products. Use coasters under all glasses. Variations in markings and colorization of finishes are inherent to our natural materials and add to the uniqueness of each piece. To maintain quality, please avoid contact with direct heat, sunlight, or moisture. Unless specifically noted on a product's description, all furniture is intended for indoor use only. Cuff Studio-provided luxury leathers and fabrics have been specifically chosen for their high quality and durability. Professional dry-cleaning is recommended for all fabrics and gentle use of a brush or a vacuum with an upholstery attachment to remove dust or dirt. Smooth leathers are meant to wear with age. Hides vary in texture and consistency. They may be spot-cleaned with a dampened cloth with filtered water. Test first. Smooth leathers may be spot-treated with a balm leather conditioner. To care for long-hair lambskin and shearlings, shake and dry vacuum regularly with a soft nylon brush. For small stains, use a damp white absorbent cloth and natural mild soap. Do not rub, brush, or massage wool products when they are wet or use any cleaning chemicals.

Cuff Studio Lighting

Cuff Studio lighting undergoes a creative process enhanced to achieve a unique finish with each produced—variation is part of the design. Our pieces should be handled with care; surfaces dusted regularly to avoid buildup. Avoid all chemical-based cleaning products. To maintain quality, please avoid contact with direct heat and sunlight. All Cuff Studio lighting is rated for indoor use only unless otherwise noted.

Shipping & Ordering

When will my order ship?

If you are ordering from our Expedited collection, orders typically ship within 5-7 weeks. Shipping lead times will vary. Trade Exclusive made-to-order items typically ship in 16-20 weeks. Orders are shipped Monday - Friday. You will receive updated tracking information as soon as your order is shipped to the email address provided at checkout.

What countries do you ship to?

At this time, Cuff Studio is only shipping within the United States. If you are a member of the trade, please contact sales@cuffstudio.com to discuss possible arrangements to ship internationally.

What if my order arrives damaged?

What if I ordered the wrong item or changed my mind?

Orders, including swatches, are not eligible for returns or exchanges.

How will I receive my order?

Depending on the size and weight of your order, you will receive it via UPS or by one of our preferred white glove delivery companies. When you select an item and begin the checkout policy, your options will be presented to you. If purchasing multiple items in a single order, your order will ship together when the final item is completed, unless otherwise specified.

What are my shipping options?

Shipping options will be visible in your cart at check out and are based on the size of the piece. Furniture & Large Lighting Fixtures: White Glove. Estimated transit time is 10-14 business days. Tracking is provided. The final mile carrier will call the recipient to schedule final delivery at least 24 hours in advance. Unpacking, debris removal and placement in room of choice is included. Small Lighting Fixtures and Objects: UPS Ground, Signature Required. Estimated transit time is 2-5 business days. Due to the high value of these items, a signature is required at time of delivery. You must choose a delivery address for these shipments where someone is readily available to sign for packages. Tracking is provided.
